Kelly McGillis Photo Shoot for Arroyo Monthly!

Yes, thats right! I photographed THE Kelly McGillis! Top Gun's Kelly McGillis!

Arroyo Monthly called for a shoot and what a great shoot it was. She is going to be in a play here in Pasadena at the Pasadena Playhouse. "The Little Foxes" is playing from May 22nd-June 28th and it looks like a good one! She was great on set and we chatted the whole time, the whole 30 min I had with her! The shoot had to be a quick one but 30 min is all I needed! We definitely worked well with one another and I got some great shots of her. Check them out!

Photo Shoot with Art Director Mary Kay Stam

I was fortunate enough to have met Art Director Mary Kay Stam and we immediately clicked. She went to school at Otis College of Art and Design and Art Directs for Creative Age Publications and also works the freelance scene. We have always talked about working with one another and we finally did! One of her clients needed some photo work and she gave me a ring.

The photo shoot consisted of some beauty products and then some! Here are the final layouts!

Angelino Interiors: Spring Issue

The new Angelino Interiors issue is out and has some of my work in it, some product shots and two portraits.

The portrait assignments that I was sent on were of two women graphic designers. Both of there styles are very different but the spaces they create are amazing. They were both so much fun to photograph...take a look!

It's been a busy few months!

So since February I have been pretty busy and haven't had much time to update my blog with any new work! Well I definitely have some new work and new things that have been published that I'll post up this week.

I've shot for a new magazine, have some new clients that I am working with, and still shooting for the same magazines that I have been shooting for already. I've got some photo shoots in the works and talking with some other magazines out in New York! So sit tight and new work will be up soon!

My FIRST Editorial Cover!

Ya, that's right. The cover! Getting the call to shoot the cover of Arroyo Monthly was pretty awesome but actually seeing it in print is even better! There is just something about holding the magazine with your picture on it that really makes it that much more awesome!

It feels pretty awesome to have gotten the call for the shoot and I definitely look foward to many more cover shoots and all that's in between!

What a great way to start the new year, shooting a cover of a magazine!

I got called from Arroyo Monthly to photograph Leslie Uggams for their February issue. Leslie is a Tony and Emmy Award-winning actress/singer and started her lengthly career at the age of six! She opened for huge legends such as Louise Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, and Dinah Washington. Among all of her talents, she is portraying Lena Horne in the play "Stormy Weather" at the Pasadena Playhouse January 21 – March 1, 2009. I sat in on one of the rehearsals and it sounds like an amazing play. I've got my tickets and hope that you get yours too. Leslie Uggams has an amazing voice and should be heard in person live on stage!

Vintage Las Vegas Neon Signs

Making use of my time back home for the holiday's I snuck off to photograph old Las Vegas hotel signs, some that don't even exist anymore! I've been itching to go to this "graveyard" and finally got up close to these huge signs and snapped away. Here are just a few of my shots...
